Research is ongoing for the use of RF energy to be used in a variety of medical disciplines and applications. Designated bands around 2.45 GHz, 6.4 GHz and 9.2 GHz have proven to be effective in areas such as Dermatology, Urology and Oncology. Regardless of the application, the technology is most commonly employed via treatment-specific applicators to allow the energy to either affect the skin or penetrate beneath the surface of the skin.
ETM offers technologies that allow customers to generate a specific amount of RF energy at a specific frequency, depending on their medical application. ETM can offer solutions from a small high power electronic subsystem to a turn-key frequency generator / amplifier. We have participated in joint Research and Development efforts as well as high volume production runs taking advantage of our Configuration Management System.
