Corporate Advisory Board



Alan Lowe

Alan Lowe is the General Manager and Senior Vice President for JDSU's Commercial Laser Products Group. Before joining JDSU, Lowe was Senior Vice President, Customer Solutions Group at Asyst Technologies, Inc. a leader in automating semiconductor and flat panel display fabs. From 2000 to 2003, he was president and chief executive officer of Read-Rite Corporation; a manufacturer of thin-film recording heads for disk and tape drives. From 1989 to 2000, Lowe served in roles of increasing responsibility at Read-Rite, including President and Chief Operating Officer, and senior vice president, customer business units. Prior to joining Read-Rite, he served in various sales positions with Microcom Corporation and IBM Corporation.

Lowe holds bachelor's degrees in computer science and business economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and completed the Stanford Executive Program in 1994.



Cassio B. Conceicao

Cassio is the General Manager of the Service Parts Business Unit at Applied Materials, the global leader in Semiconductor Equipment and emerging leader in Solar PV Panel Fabrication technologies and services Former positions include Vice President of Operations and Engineering at Kinetics Fluid Systems, provider of components, systems, and services to the Semiconductor Equipment industry; and Vice President of Operations and Engineering at ETM.

Cassio holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and English literature from Stanford University, California.



Jeffrey B. Child

Jeff serves as the Chief Financial Officer of a family office. From February 1999 through June 2003, he served as a Managing Director, U.S. Equity Capital Markets at Banc of America Securities LLC. Prior to that time, he served as a Managing Director in the Health Care Group at Banc of America Securities and Montgomery Securities.

Jeff currently serves on the board of directors of AMERIGROUP Corporation and ev3 Inc. He also serves as a Trustee of the Menlo Park City School District Board of Education. Jeff holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Davis and a M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.



Jerry Mix

Jerry Mix is President of The WattStopper, a LeGrand North America Company. He founded Watt Stopper in 1984 and has served as President and CEO of Watt Stopper for over 23 years. Watt Stopper is the market leader in lighting control products including vacancy sensors, occupancy sensors, daylighting controls and building lighting control systems. Jerry is on the boards of directors of Atomic Aquatics, Finis Aquatic Products and Finelite Lighting. He Graduated from the University of Arizona with a BSBE in Marketing in 1980.
